*According to [[Craig Bartlett]], the Bortronians are neither biologically male nor female, although most of them present as either masculine or feminine, and don't mind being seen as men or women by Earthies. This makes them all technically non-binary. However, it is unknown how Bortronians reproduce, and the "male" Bortronians are shown as quite different in appearance from "female" Bortronians. This could possibly be a retcon because this was never discussed in the show, and was only confirmed after the show ended. However, the Bortronians eschew traditional gender roles, with Celery being a driver, Carrot being the house cook who stays home, and Jet being emotional.

Well, did I mention Bortron 7?
That’s where I’m from, it’s a slice of heaven
Everyone there is sweet as cake
And we don’t mind if we make mistakes

Celery: We've been here such a long time, we learned how to preserve the natural environment, and sometimes, even improve it.
Carrot: In fact, we're flying over Bortron 7's capital city, and yet you'd hardly know it's there!
