Character Names[]

Trivia[]

  • This is the only dub in which Jet and his family members (with the exception of Jet himself) have human names as opposed to words for names. The reason why Celery and Carrot's names were changed to "Celina" and "Karol," typical Polish names, is because Polish is a gendered language and the Polish words for "carrot" and "celery" are of the opposite genders from the characters.

Portugal[]

This show was dubbed in European Portuguese for the first season and Back to Bortron 7. The title was translated as As Aventuras Espaciais do Jet (Jet’s Space Adventures) and aired on SIC K.

This dub does not air in North Korea because the North Korean government bans the transmission of any foreign television program that is not made in their country.

Uzbekistan[]

All episodes were dubbed in Uzbek. The title is Diqqat Jet Olgʻa!, and it premiered on 27 September 2021 on Aqlvoy.

Voice Cast[]

  • Elbek Mirzohidov - Jet
  • Mehruza Gulyamova - Mindy, Eggplant

Trivia[]

  • Jet has two voice actors in the dub: a child voicing him during the intro when he has spoken lines, and a grown man voicing him within the episodes themselves.
  • Much like in the Hungarian and Korean dubs, Sean also has a grown adult voicing him.
  • This is the only dub with a localized logo to not remove the logo during the part in the intro when Jet appears in front of the logo.
  • It is also the only dub in which the title of the show is directly translated from the original title, as opposed to just leaving the title in English or creating a completely new title.
  • The dub contains numerous inconsistencies.
    • The name of Sydney's favorite superhero, Commander Cressida was translated as "Qo'mondon Kressida" up until So Many Moons, in which the translation used by this dub was changed to "Kapitan Kressida." However, beginning with Scientific Sean, the "Qo'mondon Kressida" translation began being used again alongside "Kapitan Kressida."
    • The lyrics to the Commander Cressida Theme Song and Takeoff! chant were inexplicably changed following the first 10 episodes. The changed lyrics more closely resemble the Russian-dubbed versions of the songs than their original English versions. The lyrics were reverted back to the initial lyrics in Space Junk, but episodes following it such as The Mindysphere continued using the changed lyrics alternating with the initial ones.
  • RJG is the most famous cartoon in Uzbekistan.

Censorship[]

  • The Halloween and Valentine's Day-themed episodes Jet's First Halloween and From Pluto with Love were banned from airing, as Uzbek authorities have banned celebrating Halloween and Valentine's Day, claiming that such "foreign" holidays go against Uzbek culture and would "corrupt the minds" of the country's youth.
  • Similarly, Holidays in Boxwood Terrace and Endless Summer, both episodes involving Christmas, were also skipped initially. They did not air until December 31, 2021, in honor of the New Year. In Uzbekistan, like in Russia, the traditions of Christmas are typically associated with the New Year instead of Christmas proper.
  • Most instances of Carrot and Celery displaying affection towards each other, including kissing on the cheek, hugging and nose-booping, have been censored. This is likely a result of Aqlvoy receiving backlash for displaying a kiss uncensored in a prior series.
